GO 'TOPPERS...............great comeback but a STUPID foul on the 3 point shooter at the end up 4...could have easily been a 4 point play

Wow, I kept getting text from Zollo's mom during the game. I didn't get to watch it, but recorded the game.

So proud of the Toppers!!!!!!!!

Mitchell transferred from lsu I believe...

Missouri. Toppers might even be in the play in game to be a 16 with that record.

Fant for WKU really impressed me when I turned the game on late...He sounds familiar, is he a ky boy?

Harper has done a good job turning things around. Congrats to the TOPPERS!

They made a great comeback and were fortunate those late turnovers didn't kill them. Didn't UK recruit North Texas' Tony Mitchell? His name sound so famiiar.

I think there was also a different Tony Mitchell who played at Florida State, that's what I kept thinking last night.

Congrats to Ray Harper and helping to get the Hilltoppers year turned around. Just winning their conference championship was a huge success considering how their seasons started.

Final!

Western threw the ball away twice in the last 2 minutes, blew a total breakaway opportunity, and fouled a 3 point shot unnecessarily. Yet still won!

Good luck in the Big Dance!

It doesn't get much uglier. It is hard to believe a team could make as many mistakes as WKU did in the last couple minutes and still win but they did.

Yes, from the Bowling Green area. I believe he played for Warren Central.

Go Big Red

I would say they have to be the best sub .500 team to ever make the NCAA tournament. Despite their record, this team is not made up of a bunch of 3rd tier caliber players. Just a group led by some talented Freshman and a terrible former coach that could not count to 6. We know the whole, "you are what your record is" saying, but I do not think that applies in this case. Heck, I will say they may be the best 16 seed ever. The Sun Belt is on the higher end as far as mid-majors go.

I have to agree with you. I think the other saying, which is more accurate for this team, is "what have you done for me lately?"

I think this team is at least as good as their record, so long as you're only looking at the record with the new coach. What are they, 10-6 or so since he took over and 8-3 since the beginning of February? Ray Harper... all he does is win trophies.

Both my parents went to Western. Always happy for them and for Western when things are going well.

6-0 since Harper was given the Head Coaches job
