Just a few years back PCHS was over 900. In those years the junior and senior classes were among the largest in school history.

 

They graduated and smaller classes moved in.

And back to the original question - even though the semis are over - it has been my unofficial observation that the 10th region school that travels the best to the tournament is Pendleton County.

Thank you for the explanation. Very interesting but certainly makes sense. I would guess that after that class gets through the high school, the enrollment would be back to 900+.

The question of what time to arrive on Monday night for the semis was asked, and the answer was that if you arrived at 4:30pm you would be safe.

 

Just for everybody's info, at tip-off at 5pm the bottom chair-back seating was full, BUT there were 34 of us in the upper deck - I counted. 34. The crowd picked up as the end of the Mason/Montgomery game ended and the Campbell/Clark game commenced to the point where I would estimate the place was 3/4 full. As the Campbell game progressed crowd diminished as the fans from game one left.

 

There was certainly no need for split-sessions to accomodate the crowd, but what would have been two 3/4 (or better) crowds at the Fieldhouse equates to one 3/4 full house at Montgomery. Just sayin....................

 

I also heard an interesting tidbit of information from a reliable source that perhaps the 10th Region tournament might not be able to be held at the Bank of Kentucky Center in Northern Kentucky next year (37th District's turn to host) . First I had heard of it, and I can't imagine what can't be worked out in the upcoming year to make it happen. I'll keep you posted on that one.

Interesting to see that Brossart is only the 3rd largest "A" school in the 10th in terms of

# of boys--Seems like I've heard a lot of whining over the years on here about them being too large to be a "true A" school??

Campbell Co played GRC the closest of all the post season games. GRC won by 16.

Heard this as well and I think so.

I had heard that the Horse Park has a basketball floor that can be put down in their arena.

 

Not sure of seating but would be easy drive for both ends of region.
