I don't have a dog in it either, but you did say you were suprised when I said earlier in the thread that SK, Boone and Ryle combined couldn't have won the state crown that year. Ignorance means to not know something. I knew then and now that SK won't win a football championship. You simply say I am ignorant. Hope it makes you feel good.

 

If SK, Boone and Ryle combined they would have won state and probably shut out T! They would have almost 200 players on their roster. Let alone about 80 Seniors.

ColdHard-you are crazy. I guarantee I have seen SK play in the last 20 years more than you have and they have had 2 good seasons. Period. Anyone can recognize the greatness of Trinity. I find it more ironic when people say how great SK is when that has not been the case at all. A few very good players here and there and that is it. Nothing to show for it except one trip to the state finals where they were shutout.

 

I don't think it is Coach Marksberry's fault at all. I do think the fans in Independence have unrealistic expectations for a club that is generally mediocre. Winning the South Kenton leagues in pee wee doesn't mean you are gonna be state champs in a relatively poor football state (Kentucky). Sorry to burst the bubble, but news flash, the Pioneers are the Pioneers and they aren't gonna be state champs in 6A 2012 either. They wouldn't win the state crown in 5A or 4A either. Last year they lost to Beechwood, a 1A school that was bounced from the playoffs in the semifinals. That team then lost in the state championship the next week. SK has a looooong way to go.

 

Not that my support of History makes anyone giddy but I agree with him on 1. He's seen a lot of SK games 2. While he may realize how strong T is (who can't see that?) he isn't a "T guy" and 3)a few in Independence aren't seeing clearly in regards to the SK program.

I am pretty sure that those three teams combined that year would have beaten T. Also, Boone has had losses several one score losses to Trinity through its glory years.

I agree about the depth. I have mentioned it myself many times. Tell me again how many times those three schools (SK, Boone and Ryle) have beaten Trinity?? They are in the same class right? The facts are that their best skilled players are better than yours, and their depth is stronger too.The Rocks coach-like Dale at Highlands-play it smart-they know what they need to do to beat the competition. Most games they can name their score. Other times they just lay double digit losses on teams that are remotely competitive from the bluegrass.

 

Dixie beat Trinity at Trinity and that was awesome. I would argue Ryle's biggest win was against Highlands. Great win. Boone-not sure I would pick one-I guess whomever they beat to advance to the state finals in 4A, and SK-the win that propelled them to the 6A title game.

With eric suspended from his chosen profession, fired from his second job, i guess he is looking for a new gig. The MMA fighting definetly was not his calling. So how about coaching high school football. What are his qualifications? Hopefully he has a better coaching record than he has a court record. Let's see, he runs his mouth on the radio and gets fired. He runs his mouth outside the courtroom, goes inside and takes a beating. Ditto for the MMA cage.
