theguru
I am going to go with six. Fox wants to run a pro set, Tebow ain't gonna work.
hja1224
I will go with seven. I also think the timing of their bye week will be in play.

theguru
O, ye of little faith. It has nothing to do with faith, it has to do with wins and losses.
CatsCatsCats
I bet Tebow is much improved next year. I think he stays in the whole year.
PurplePride92
I'll say 10. At 3-7 Fox will finally pull the plug.

If he hasn't improved at this point how will he magically improve this year? This is the start of year 3 as a pro for him.

How long did it take Eli to become a good quarterback? I'm not say he's going to be a great quarterback but keep in mind he didn't get starters reps before his rookie season. Also the lockout meant that he didn't have the offseason practices or a full training camp before last season. If he is going to become a serviceable NFL quarterback we should see signs of it this season.
futurecoach
I think its after they start 2-9 and john fox is fired. Didn't John Elway hire Fox? No way do they fire him IMO even if they struggle next year. He knows Fox does not want to run a system fit for Tebow either, just like Elway doesn't either. So I don't think he will punish Fox for himself not being able to find a QB to fit the system they want.

I definitely think Tebow loses his job as a starter rather than Fox his job as a coach if Tebow struggles this season.

The lockout shouldn't have affected his development. When you look at Cam Newton and Andy Dalton the lockout is nothing more than a weak excuse. Can't compare him to Eli either. Tim has poor skills as a qb. Period.
Alabama Larry
15 year starter. He works hard and wants to do well. He will make history. He will only get better. Name me QBs in the Pros who were great after starting 7/8 games. It takes time and hard work.

Thats true its hard to tell how a QB will do based on 8 games etc. However when someone's completion percentage is as bad as Akili Smiths was, then that is saying something. I know they won a lot of games with him, but it took the defense playing great in most of them for him to win it in the end. If he had a bad defense, they might not have won a single game with him as the starting QB. Then we would be talking about how bad of a QB he is.
