As papa has said many times, you can take teams 2 through 8 in the 10th (Clark would be the heavy favorite) this season and I wouldn't be surprised at all if any one of them beat the other. Congrats to Coach Simms and the Wildcats on the win.

What?? Not one "like watching paint dry", "should give the fans their money back", "booorrrring", etc.?? Opps forgot, Brossart wasn't in this game. :D

Congrats to PC on the big win--Good luck the rest of the way!!

I still think the region is wide open. There are about 6 teams who could all make it to Rupp. I would call GRC a slight favorite.

Harrison was on a roll. I thought they would pull this one out.

Does anyone know what Coach Simms record is in the post season? He has some quality wins over the last several years.

You are correct, it was like watching Brossart. Thought Coach Reitz thought he was back at Campbell playing the Mustangs.

Including this year, he's 10-5. He's 3-0 in district championships.

2007- lost in first round of districts to Harrison County

2008- won districts, lost in first round of Regionals to Montgomery County

2009- lost in first round to Harrison County

2010- won districts, lost in Regional Semifinals to Mason County

2011- won districts, lost in Regional Finals to Clark County.

Pretty good analysis

Harrison looked extremely frustrated on offense. What did Pendleton do to them or was it an off night for Harrison?

Pendleton threw a lot of junk defenses at them, and knew every one of their sets they called out. They were very well-prepared.

Harrison shoots 11 for 45 for the game and 1 for 16 on 3 pointers! They were fortunate to be as close as they were. Just a bad time to have the worst shooting night of the year. Congrats to Pendleton on the win and to Harrison County on a good season. I wish the KHSAA would make the districts seed!

I was too impressed with my prediction of a 3 Pt win to mention That. LOL

EVERY posession must have been a battle in this one.

Unfortunate for HC and it's a "Bracket Buster" for me. As I have pointed out multiple times I picked HC IN DECEMBER To WIN THE REGION. You just can't predict HS basketball, too many variables but when you shoot 24% from 2 and less than 10% from 3 you're toast, I'm surprised it was as close as the score indicates. I was also surprised by PC's bigs doing the damage. When they pay well and are productive they're hard to beat. Congrats

Must have been great defense by Pendleton County.

Since you are out on that prediction, you may want to make another. I think the winner of the region will come from the 40th district.

Now in other news, congrats to Simms and the Wildcats on a great win last night and a return trip to the 10th region tournament. A tough season in Falmouth and Simms has held his troops together and is always dangerous come tournament time. Again congrats to the Wildcats!
