No but Gtown typically makes up the difference with grants so it works out to be a free education

 

I can totally relate. My daughter who is a high school lacrosse player has been contacted by a few D1 schools and many D3 schools. D3 is not offering athletic scholarship money but they are offering a great academic package that constitutes a full ride for 4 years. D1 is offering partial at best. She is not going to play pro lacrosse but wants to have a career in medicine. D3 affords her a strong pre-med program and she can still play the sport that she loves. There is nothng wrong with D3 and usually the education piece is stellar.

Maybe the kid from Boone County did, but Vocke played for Erlanger Lions in the NKYFL.

The BCPWFL has produced some great players from all over NKY.

I said kind of disappointing. I think he would make a good back for UK or UC.

 

Do you think he was better than Miles Simpson at RB? If the answer is no, then it should also explain why Vocke is at Georgetown. Georgetown is a great school and has some VERY talented young football players. Vocke will get a great education and continue to compete at a high level. Congrats to both young men.

I don't think the college has made the decision to do that yet. As of last fall, they were exploring the idea for purposes of "improving" their resume for another academic credential they were considering. Not sure how far along that has gone.
