2 NKY Players Commit to Georgetown

Per Rick Broering at NKYsportsblog.com Cameron Vocke of BW and Mikel Reynolds of Boone have both committed to Georgetown College.

 

Congrats to both. Seems like a good fit for them.

How can getting a scholly be "disappointing" simply because blowhards get on here and talk out their rear end?

Your point is 100% valid, however, many kids on scholly at GC are not on a full scholly.

What is G-Town's total "pool" of which to pull from? How many dollars? Also, how are these funds allocated to each player?

No but Gtown typically makes up the difference with grants so it works out to be a free education

I think Vocke is right where he should be given his abilities. He got a ton of publicity as a RB but in college I do not forsee him playing RB. He was a great HS back and DB but not a great RB in college and not big enough for UK or UC to likely take a chance on him. Gtown is a great choice from an academic standpoint so I bet he and his family are happy

Go look at the 2 RB UC is getting. Vocke is a nice player, but isn't even close to that caliber...

There may be more Georgetown commitments from Beechwood. There are 2 or 3 others looking very closely at Georgetown.

 

Congratulations to Cameron Vocke - a great young man. I look for him to experience success at Georgetown similar to what we are seeing from Domonique Hayden at Thomas More.
