I will make one last statement by retracting my "failed season" comment. I have a lot of respect for this year's team, most parents and BW's coach. He is a class act.

Spartan79....the players do not nominate or vote for themselves, it is done by regional media. Jackson has remarkable stats per the KHSAA website that very few in the state can touch. He will have much success and will get his rewards and honors next year. That I am certain. I wish him and his team the best next year, especially against your team. You continue to hang your hat on the historic early season win against HC, that ended with a failed season. HC got thumped in the season and ended with a historic, Cinderella story State Championship. In 2011 , Lampone had 135 tackles (99 solo), 12 sacks, 15 QB pressures, 4 FR, 1 INT and a 2-yr total of 260 tackles (191 solo). He was nominated from the NKY media and his game leading tackles in the state championship game may have garnered other media support. It's time to move on, my friend. Merry Christmas!

Spartan79, I'm sure Lampone is as humbled and honored with this recognition almost as much being on part of the 2011 2A State Championship HC team. He should wear his State Championship Ring proudly!
