(Sorry to remain off-topic of the original thread, but interesting topic, and since it came up...)

 

At Ballard, we too shy away from referring to 'skill/everybody else.' Our off-season lift/conditioning groups break up into "Skill" (WR/DB/QB) "Big" (which is often wishful thinking for us: OL/DL) and "Tough" (ILB/OLB/FB/RB).

 

Back ON the topic, my post above (saying Dawkins would stand out behind any line) was in no way to demean the big guys he had in front of him this year; rather, just to emphasize how unique a player HE is.

Coach, my wife even said, "that little back they have runs so hard thru the line". So, if she can notice him, he must run hard.

wow just watched the video and some of those highlights were unreal never did get to see trinity play in person but wish i could of looked well worth the price of admission

Faking defensive players out of their cleats - that's all Dawkins.

Outrunning players that appear to have the angle on him - that's all Dawkins.

Whats his height? He runs hard and I like that so does Nick.

Dawkins is about 5'9 175LBs

Rocks have another running back that will be a sophomore next year that you might enjoy watching. Donald Brooks. He saw some reps as a freshman.

The line doesn't get enough credit on Shelbyville Road, the skill players are good but the line is great. People only care about Quick, Wright, And Dawkins when their o-line is responsible. It sickens me:puke:

 

I have no idea where you come by that. That opinion is about as sound as many of your others. If you ever watch any of the interviews with the offensive players who have garnered media attention - you will note they always - without exception - credit the O line. Everyone in the T family has honored and admires the entire team and program.

Can I assume that you played O line at some point in time ?

 

O line never gets the glamor over the skill positions , it's part of life. Quick , Wright and Dawkins know who their O lineman are and I'm sure they give them thanks and praise after every game. The three guys mentioned have talent out the wazoo ,as you'll see by all the D1 recruiters wearing out the sidewalk to sign them. I don't hear anyone else complaining. :idunno:
