I thought I recalled Jacob Tamme having options other than UK. I also remember the story of him being crushed when they pulled his offer and then offered it back. He took it as soon as the offer came back.
January 18, 201214 yr Well in the sec you get to win BCS championships, in the PAC 10,11,12, or whatever they call themselves now you get to play through probation There are 4 schools with BCS titles in the SEC......So if a kid picks UK it isn't to win a BCS title. It isn't because they will play in a BCS game.

January 18, 201214 yr So we know a kid goes to UK for two reasons. It presents his best opportunity to play in the SEC or he grew up wanting to be a Wildcat. Is that a safe assumption? I can't imagine why a kid would want to play at UK for any other reason if he has better choices available.

And a much better chance to play in a BCS game than UK. Not to mention that even though they play in a pizza box there is probably the same number of fans there that are at a UK game. :lol:

Despite the pitiful product on the field UK has consistently been in the top 20-30 schools in the country in attendence if I'm not mistaken.

There will be even less at Commonwealth next season. Didn't one game have around 25K at it?
January 18, 201214 yr And yes, UL is a much better choice than UK. Not even close, IMO.I guess. To me it is picking between two consistent poor programs. I always find it hysterical watching fans of both schools brag about either. Sure things look bright for UL at this particular time, but these things are cyclical for these type teams. Granted, the Big East obviously gives you a cake walk of a path to a potential title game. Serious question, will the Big East have an automatic bid after next season or isn't that subject to review?
