I didnt get to watch the whole game but heard the announcers say that Pike needed to put on some pounds on the large frame that he has. Also if that happened he might be good at defensive end . First don't kill me, thats just what was said or that is the way I had taken that comment. We also know the those announcers have nothing to do with where Pike plays at Alburn. Good luck Zeke .

Thought it was pretty cool to see Zeke representin NKY on National television today. Wish everyone could just be happy for this kid, but I know that is just wishful thinking. Congrats to you #14. Lots want what you have.

Who won the Russell Athletic National Coach of the Year Award, which was presented at halftime? I heard that Coach Beatty was one of the finalists. This is the award that Coach Mueller (of Highlands) won a couple of years ago.

Congrats to Pike for being chosen to represent KY and NKY in this game. Always nice to see the NKY boys gettin props regardless of what school they represent. I didnt see the game so not real sure how he did, maybe someone could give us his stats.

Not sure why he really played in this game, I would think Auburn wouldnt want their top QB recruit to get hurt in this type of game but my guess is being on such a national stage it is a really good PR move for Auburn and fun for Pike.

Just curious, did he represent Dixie or Auburn? Did they say?

Either way, good luck at Auburn and I hope to see a couple more head to head matchups with PT in the SEC.

I hope Pike gets his chance at QB at Auburn. However, I ultimately think TE is his best position. He's got great hands and good body control along with decent speed. He might have been the best TE there yesterday. I just don't see him playing on the defensive side of the ball. At Dixie, when he did play some DE, he seemed to get pushed around a lot by smaller linemen. He just wasn't nearly aggressive on defense as he was on offense.

Looks like U of L Coach Strong got some good recruits from this game.

How about 2 of the last 3 National coach of the yr being from KY in Mueller and Beatty. Now that is impressive imo. What is there about 15,000 hs coaches in the USA? Lots of people like to run their mouths about TX, FL, CA and OH football being the best. Well KY is well respresented imo. Congrats to Coach Beatty

Looks like the KY coaches are getting some love on the national level , it's about time. Look at their records , very impressive to say the least ! Congrats to both coaches , well deserved !!
