There's no green button on mine. :idunno:

There isn't an area that says "Apps" "Cover".....blah blah blah, and to the right a green button? It was on the page at the bottom, without scrolling.

Apparently Timeline is taking over on May 7th. I think Facebook and I may be breaking up in a week...

Seems like more and more people are leaning in that direction.

I was under the impression that it was going to be pushed through a lot quicker than it was, but I guess at this point there's no avoiding it. I've had it for a while now and I don't really notice anymore. It's just a little weird people can scroll through my entire history on facebook, but I've gotten rid of most of it.

I am not on FB as much as I used to be, besides this issue there are problems that FB never seems interested in fixing. Hopefully when they go public they will have to answer issues brought up by the stock holders.

About a month ago I went in and deleted a lot of stuff in anticipation of Timeline Armageddon. Nothing incriminating, but just a bunch of useless wall posts that one could tell I probably had a few drinks when I made them to someone else, a few curse words, etc. Just as long as my pictures that I have set to private do not start showing up, which they probably will, and those things are deleted I will be fine. There is a group page for our local tri club that I will post about every 2-3 weeks, other than I bet I post once every other month combined my wall or someone else's wall.

I sure hope my private pictures from the college years do not show up. If they do, I will probably be deleting my FB for good as others have.

I know a couple people that have made the switch and when they did a lot more was made public and you had to go back again privatize your account.

I was pretty much in the same boat. I think all is good now, but I'm still not 100% certain on the privacy settings. I'm fairly certain I have them as strict as I can make them.

Thank you for the advice. Not that I have anything too crazy, just don't need all the bar/party pictures up there.

Yeah, I've been contemplating deleting facebook all together, if this timeline crap becomes mandatory, it'll make my decision a lot easier. No more facebook for this guy.

It is mandatory. Our tri "page" is already changed over due to that being mandated. I do not have as much complaints about the look or convenience of it, websites and such change all the time for what they feel is better and I am sure I can adjust. My only issue is with the privacy settings that constantly have to be monitored. Some of that crap seems borderline criminal.

I did the same. Nothing crazy really but just some things I would prefer to not have on there anymore.

Once it's out there...it's out there forever! It's like a blackboard that you can't erase.

Very true, but they can be hidden. The way my FB is setup right now, my friends can only see pictures that I've made my profile pictures. Others can't see anything.
