Plus lose 4 more schollys. Disappointing but shouldn't impact Urbans guys too much. Time to move on.

Pretty crappy of the NCAA to wait until after the bowl game invitations to announce this and also pretty stupid of the OSU administration to not self impose the bowl ban for this year. I am just glad it is over with and you are right, time to move on.

Rocket, I fugured you would be happy :p

Bowl ban and 9 total scholarships over 3 years is what I read.

This is also what I am hearing plus they are adding an additional year of probation and Tressel is to receive a show clause (?) penelty. OSU self imposed 5 scholarships so the NCAA added 4 additional over a three year period. I think everyone at OSU is shocked by Bowl Ban. I just feel like the players who did nothing wrong are the ones who are paying the price. These seniors that caused most of the mess are on their way to a Bowl game. Does not make sense but yo do the crime you have to do the time.

I honestly don't care, but I do enjoy seeing the tizzy some Buckeye fans get worked into if you don't say tOSU is the best team ever. I cite NCF for it with his ultimate hatred of all things SEC..

Interesting tweet:

@CharlesRobinson: "Key witness refused to cooperate w/ NCAA's Ohio State probe. Had he taken part, sanctions could have been far worse. OSU dodged a bullet."

To really hit OSU where it counts the NCAA should have placed at least a 2 year ban. That way it costs the University at least a 1.5M. Then they might begin to monitor situations a little more closely.

Seems like it's fair. The NCAA didn't view it as a simple case of a few tats.

You want to talk about unfair, then look at the USC situation. I don't think a single one of those guys were even on the team when Bush was. However they had to miss 2 bowl games because of it. I am suprised that they didn't get two years either like USC.

Ok I am an OSU fan, but I don't see why they needed to impose a bowl ban, especially for next year. If anything, they should have been banned last year or this year since that is when the players in question were actually at OSU. Now, the team next year will be punished for things that none of them did. Plus, what did OSU even do that was so bad? Sold some stuff and got some tattoos? Was there any sex abuse at Ohio State?
