If you are every in Birmingham, this guy makes the best wings on the face of the earth and the fanatical fries are unreal. It use to be in Oxford and I ate there a lot while at Ole Miss until he shut down and disappeared only to reappear in Birmingham.

Best Pork Chop - Patti's in Grand Rivers

Best BBQ sauce - Montgomery Inn

Best sandwich - The Reuben at Victor's in Murray

Best Alligator - Whaler's Catch in Paducah

Best steak - Malone's in Lexington

Best Bison - Brass Lantern in Aurora

Best Butter - Apple Cinammon Butter at Texas Outlaws in Elizabethtown

Pains me that this place doesn't get more business. Great food and easily the best bar in E-town (they've been known to have a bottle of Pappy).

The most interesting fried chicken I've had is in Nashville at Prince's Hot Chicken Shack.

Make your nose run.

Sounds like I need to make a visit there.

Nothing flashy or fancy, but fresh Maryland steamed-crabs on the shore were divine. They came with homemade hush puppies with a butter dipping sauce and pitchers of beer to wash it all down.
