Hard for me to narrow down too much, but I'll give it a shot.

Apps/hours: Likely doesn't qualify, as it was a more of a stew/soup. But the seafood app. served at the Chesapeake House in Myrtle Beach passed good a mile or two back.

Entree: Hard to pass on Precinct or Burghoff's steaks, but I have to go with the steak and crepe at Grand Finale. Very good strip, and upgrade to the seafood crepe. Can't lose.

dessert: Not much on the sweets, but as I remember my grandma made a chocolate pie that likely won't be beaten.

New York strip from Ruth's Chris. For dessert I'll take a piece of normal cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory all day. Nothing fancy, but so good.

Best steak was at Johnnie's Hideaway Orlando FL

Best Seafood was at Mon Ami near Put In Bay OH or Tucan's in Mexico Beach FL

Best BBQ is Monroe Co. style BBQ (Frances, Backyard or Red Barn)

Best home cooking away from home was Mike's Farm in Richlands NC

Best Burger is Dovies in Tompkinsville KY

Best Soup is the Indian Stew at Big Moose's in Glasgow KY

Best Ice Cream is Kilwinns Ice Cream in Wilmington NC

I could go on and on, but now I'm starving and must find food...

Pretty much anything Jim Schue cooks is on my "best ever" list. That dude is talented!!!

I have to agree...Schues BBQ is the best I have ever tasted.

As for Seafood goes Nicks Seafood in Freeport Fl. has the biggest and best Fried Shrimp I have ever had.

My wife doesn't like shrimp but she tried the Shrimp at Nicks and she loved it.

Best soup I think I've ever had was an Onion Bisque at Murphins Ridge Inn, in Adams County OH
