The idiot owners that blocked this basically guaranteed Howard going to the Lakers now and he wouldn't have been able to with that trade. Howard will help Kobe and the Lakers much more than CP would have. I agree that if you only get one of them, Howard helps the team more. As others have said though, it's looking like Howard to the Nets right now.

Howard probably would rather be a Laker than a Net too. Yesterday he thought CP would be a Laker and they couldn't make a trade for him. Going to be hard to argue the tampering point and ask to be traded to the Nets all while saying you didn't meet with the Nets.

Not really....All Howard has to do is let it be publically known that after this season he's signing in Jersey, and that pretty much kills any other trades. Then the Magic will be left with 2 options, trade him to NJ or keep him the rest of the year and get nothing in return.

The slippery slope they went down yesterday is going to be fun to keep up with. Forcing CP to stay in NO will cost him how much when he signs somewhere next year rather than re-signing with LA? He wanted to go to NJ when LA couldn't trade for him b/c they didn't have the pieces to trade back. They do now. You really think he wants no part of the Lakers? Also I never said he was going to LA.
