Gasol is decent but at the time you have to say that it was nothing too far from being a gift from Jerry West. Gasol was in the prime of his career around that time and an all-star on a horrible team. He was one of the top big men in the league at that time and def didn't get in exchange the talent it would have normally took to get a player of that caliber. I will always, always look at that trade as a gift, no where close to fair value. I don't care if Marc Gasol turns into a 8 time All-Star, looking at the trade then it was one of the mos lopsided trades in the history of the league.

He still averaged 3 points less per game than Pau's worst. Pau hasn't averaged less than 18.3 PPG as a Laker. I think he's averaged a double double as a Laker. Plus, it's not as if Marc's going to end his days as a Grizzly. Pau has been way better than Marc every year since the trade.

December 9, 201114 yr So just so we are clear Stern thinks its better for the Hornets to have Paul for this year and see him walk. Or they could have Odom, Scola, and Martin who is pretty darn good.
December 9, 201114 yr Stern is corrrupt....I almost hope the NBA never recovers from the lockout. This is the single most bush thing I've ever seen done in professional sports.
