December 1, 201114 yr Whenever I hear Leach's name mentioned and see people get in an uproar because they want him at UK, I can't help but crack up. This guy never won a dang thing at a program MUCH MUCH more attractive than UK, against much less competition, but yeah, he'd be able to compete in the SEC. Makes zero sense. So he has an exciting style. Congrats, instead of just being a losing team, you're now exciting losers!

I don't think he'd be a bad hire at UK but I don't think he'd be an absolute homerun either. Lazy recruiter they say. Can't have that at UK. You can do that in Texas.

Rumor is our Chancellor got a call from ESPN that let us know we will be on at 11:30 SEC Network every week with Leach and that if we are 6-6 with all the SEC bowl slots filled we can expect to be left at home come bowl selection time.

December 1, 201114 yr No different than how they control things now. Some people wonder why Washington State, but given Leach's style and the receiving corps they have returning as well as offensive starters, he can make an immediate splash.

You apparently don't know much about Texas Tech, it's a terrible campus to recruit to, they are at best the 3rd or 4th best school in Texas less attractive to Texas recruits than Oklahoma and Nebraska. All Leach did was win 8.4 games a year at a school that had never won consistently in the past and had outdated facilities. They also played in the Big 12 South with Oklahoma and Texas and considering the current state of the SEC East the Big 12 south then was every bit as good.

ESPN=$$$$$ for SEC.
