Conner 84 Franklin County 48

When I read the tweet from Demling saying Conner rushed for 740 yards I had to keep re-reading it to make sure I was grasping what it said.

How many teams give up 40 points in the first half and then 8 in the second?

The Sheriff must have had some great words at halftime.

Conner ran for 745 on 67 carries.

McKeehan 16/251/3

Fogle 9/162/3 (didn't play 2nd half due to injury)

Barker 26/219/4

Levsey 14/108/1

Big night for the o-line: senior left tackle Ryan Finck, junior left guard Darien Wolnitzek, junior center Austin Brake, junior right guard Jared Kunkel and senior right tackle Aaron Johnson.

I was told the Timmons kid is LEGIT!

Good news/bad news for FC.

Put up 536 yards of offense.

Lost by 36.

Crazy.

Went back to their 4 man front in the second half. Played first half with a 3 man front. Once FC was forced to pass, it became apparent that the game was over.

STUD! Great open field runner with tremendous lateral movement. Great vision. Loves to cut it back against the grain. Human highlight.

Correction: Name is Ethan Johnson.

Who was it that said nobody in the east bracket could match up with the skill set of Franklin County this year and that they were going all the way to Bowling Green. OUCHIES on that prediction.

You can say what you want about Conners D but they stepped up in the second half after they made their adjustments. They also held FC under their season points average of 50.2 ;) They got the job done!

Have you seen the kids stats? Wow!

Conner scored 21 points in each quarter and needed most of those to get past host Franklin County 84-48 in the Class 5A playoffs Friday night.

The Cougars totaled 745 yards on the ground and had four players reach triple digits in rushing yardage. Jesse McKeehan led the way with 251 yards and three TDs. Drew Baker was next with 219 yards and four scores. Cameron Fogle had 162 yards and three TDs and Dylan Levsey ran for 108 yards and one TD.

The Flyers, who suffered their first loss of the season, combined for 396 rushing yards, led by Ryan Timmons (264) and Chris Roberts (114). Both scored twice.

Great win for Conner!!!

WOW! I will admit I didn't see this one happening. Hats of to Connor, they beat a very talented Franklin Co. team.

How can you been any bit talented and get 84 hung on you?
