Very true however, unfortunately that's what the parent brought on to himself, his child and his family. It's not like anyone held back comments on Michael Mitchell when he was doing what his parents decided to do.

Ideally, the kid figures out why it was HIS fault that he got cut and works to eliminate those deficiencies. He can then try out again next season and see if he can make the team.

Just out of curiosity, is this kid related to Nate Kadetz who graduated from SHDHS in '05?

It seems as if it is a case of a parent thinking that junior is the next Larry Bird and in reality he is the next Big Bird. Andy Furman & the kids dad have done nothing except show what kind of people they truly are, only thing I can tell them are Happy Holidays to both of them as they set around and smoke stoggies together and look for their next victim to attack.

I think what is coming into play here is "He didn't not only make the varsity squad he didn't make the junior varsity either" Time will be needed to prove everything out here.

2) If it wasn't for Michael Schmidt's knee injury St. Henry would have won the Sweet 16.

I don't know that St. Henry would have won the Sweet 16, but I think they would have beaten a Mason County team that was vulnerable against a good post player.

I think everyone's assuming that the father went to Furman because they're neighbors or friends or something. Not 100% sure though.
