6a is just way way down this year Trinity X Manual & Male Should not be in the same District The best games will be when they all beat each other only to have Trinity go on to totally Destroy the rest of the Field. Not Smart on The KHSAA part to do this set up.

Every team in 1A and 6A make the playoffs. In the other classes, 8+/- teams miss the playoffs.

In anytime in sports when a playoff is envolved its fun playing teams outside your area, as a Male supporter if we get by Meade County we play St X if they also win. St X is in our District. Is there any other schools who play a team this soon in their same District?

Larry, I think it is set up that every team that wins and if the teams from there same district win they will meet in the second round ?

I believe the GRC/Ryle game could go either way as well as the Dixie/ Lafayette. Henry Clay has really struggled this year. Not sure they have any confidence left to get the win.

Many are saying N. Ky. 6A is down, but I could see all four N. Ky. teams winning their first round games. On the other hand, I could see all 4 losing too :lol: That is the way it has been in N. Ky. 6A this season. You never know who is going to play well on a given Friday night.

I just saw the full 6A bracket, and yep you win you could play a team you just played last a couple of weeks ago.

 

I've been around soccer/softball tourneys for 40 years, and when they made out the brackets they would try and play teams who wouldn"t have played until you got near the semi finals or so. Oh well.

Every sport in Kentucky has district teams playing each other early. In fact, football is the one team sport that you actually play a non-district opponent in the first round of the playoffs. Basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer all have district tournaments with local teams, then regional tournaments with not-as-local teams, followed by a state tournament.
