Good thing is the damage is covered 100%. At least mine was.

I had one hit me before. Literally jumped into the side of my car. No damage. My son did about $2,200 worth of damage earlier this year.

I had one run into the side of my car in Texas. It was like slo-motion. I could see him up ahead on the far side of the interstate and I tried to slow down, then speed up, then slow down - he had a bead on me though and ran right into the driver's side door. Small dent that was not a big deal at all (the car was old), and the animal trotted right off.

My dad has hit numerous deer over the years. I haven't though. But the other night I was driving down 71 to Louisville and saw 4 deer standing along the highway. That's a scary feeling.

I hit one on the AA about 5 miles outside of Maysville coming back from a basketball game.. It was night and never saw the deer until it hit. The person behind me, also from Pendleton Co, said so much fur was flying that they had to turn on their wipers. The damaged added up the $2000.

I've hit two over the years both while going to work at Dow in Carrollton , both on US 42 . One hit a passenger side door , One I hit head on and rolled it under the car an Acclaim , no damage to speak of .

I have seen a ton of them dead on the AA lately.

I hit the deer on 17 right by Pioneer Park me and the cop looked for the deer for 20 minutes and couldn't find it any where.

I would say the deer did at least $3,000 in damages to my car.

If you have comprehensive coverage with your car insurance plan, you will be covered 100% without receiving a hike in premiums & without having to pay any kind of deductible. Would also be true if you hit a dog, or if a rock cracked your windshield, etc. I think I'm permitted one such claim per year.

Yes, totaled my car and I was glad. MVP van and it was old. Four AM coming home from work less than a mile from home, hated all the red tape but they paid for everything. I now watch out for deer when I think...I also hit over a 100 on the train tracks. I blew the whistle every time, but they are really stupid. Hit three/four at one time once.

Good Luck.

Yes, I hit one on Sleepy Hollow between Ft. Wright and Ludlow going around 40 mph. After the deductible, the cost was close to $1,800. Good luck.

Mine was a few years back.
