It all hinges on line play. I haven't seen HC this year but NewCath usually owns the Indians in the trenches

I know both Lloyd and Newport moved the ball on them. I was at both games! Lloyd had around 300 yards of offense but just could never punch it in! Credit good defense! Newport was only down 21-14 at half, thats when NCC turned it on, and that is what makes it hard to beat them..I think this is a close game with NCC coming out on top. 28-14

They have some weapons on offense so they may be able to do that, but it will be very difficult to do that against NCC. The other factor that works against Holy Cross is their offense is not a ball control, clock eating offense. That will hurt them versus NCC because you want to limit NCC's offensive possessions.

I only hope they figure out how to defend the pass. Better yet, can someone explain to me why they always give such a BIG cushion to the receivers????

I have seen both teams play and it should be a very good game. NCC is very efficient in running the football. They tend not to panic regardless of the situation. If HC is going to win, they must be able to stop the run. If NCC is going to win the game, they need to not let HC jump out early and control the clock. It will be interesting to see NCC play from behind if HC would jump out to an early lead. I think this might be the game of the week

Newport Catholic 35-14.

I just have a hard time believing a team that can give up 68 pts has solved all of their issues. I'm sure that the 2nd half v. Beechwood was probably an aberration, but that's a lot of points to be able to give up.
