Win over Lou. St.X in Thoroughbred Bowl ('95?) I know Frisk was at RB for the Birds & it was the first time I watched him play...I think X had a LB headed for Tennessee that Frisk ran by on his way to a long TD run

Miles did not qualify for the state meet in track, and was number 2 100 meter runner in NKY that year.

kytrackxc.com list the 200 meter runners 1 through 6 and he is not on there, and like I said, he was second in NKY in the 100 meters.

They did, if I remember right, Highlands won by close to 30 or more. Hearing that brings back memories, a friend of mine from high school was cousins with Tim Couch and she was sporting the Leslie County/Couch t-shirts and sweaters all year.

 

I missed the playoff game because of a COUPLES SHOWER that I had to go to just up the street from the stadium. I was in a back room watching a ballgame with a bunch of other guys who didn't understand the need to share the misery. Every time the cannon went off, it reminded me what I was missing. I got reminded A LOT that night.

I heard Tim Pogue was a great player for Highlands that won a state title in I think was 1968. Anybody remember Tim?

I remember Tim , he was my little league baseball coach . I also remember playing against Gary Schrader( the pitcher) and Dale Mueller (the catcher ).

Highlands over CCH in 2008. 61-0 and could have been much worse. Still recall how shocked I was at halftime.

2008 was fun & there was also a 70-26 score recently too...

Last year when Ryle beat Highlands on Foxsports upset of the year.

memorable game for Dale and Gary would be the '72 game against #1 ranked St. X(Louisville). HHS won 10-7 but believe it or not it was not that close. X didn't pass HHS 30 yard line till a desparation pass as clock ran out. The ball deflected into the hands of X player lying on the ground. KP(fullback) had great time crushing their linebacker over and over as the "buck" and "guts" plays were called. OLD TIMERS aren't we now LOL :thumb:
