I have no problem with you guys doubting us. I understand that some people just don't see the train untill the whistle blows. Well let me tell you, the train is coming, and we ain't stopping till we reach DixieLand!

 

We have depth, we have speed, and we have skill. We have been competing with the big boys of 4A, and we will win a state title. I realize that mere words are not enough for the majority of you, and that Winning the Class A title, playing the eventual 2A champion to a one point loss, and having two perenial powers in 3A may not have caught your attention, but most people realize, we have a pretty good collection of teams in the upper part of the state. In all classes. We faired pretty well in the one game we had against Lexington this year. Ryle beat Dunbar remember? Everyone in the state has problems with T and X, but the gap is closing for the teams in NKY. Just watch and see.

I dont see Dixie's D doing much after Atchley is gone...

Though I love Ryan as a captain and player, I disagree. We had 5 seniors who played this year, and as great as they were, and as good as they led, that leaves 17 starters returning along with a 9-1 JV squad. I see Stahlkamp, Neugent, Mcguire, Mosier, Benson and a few other seniors stepping up and leading in the same manner. Our kids all buy into a team first mentality and I don't see that changing. It is the foundation of our team. That and we know we're going to win before we step on the field. We believe in ourselves and our teammates. We expect to win, not to compete. Theirin lies the universal difference between Dixie and some of the other programs. We have evolved into that mentality and I don't see it changing any time soon.

Just got membership as a Christmas present from my better half. Highlands D will be big strong and fast in 06. There is some size on O line just wonder if some that only played O last year might see time on D line in 06.

Never mind that they got knocked out of the playoffs the next week. :lol: I will say this, Dixie is the only team in Kentucky that has prevented Beatty's Rocks from playing in December. I said last year at about this time that youwould see us in the finals in the next five years. Guess we'll have to see how it turns out.

The Birds should be very good by mid year after Draper has a chance to settle in at QB and the O and D lines mature. If Dixie gets them early in the year they have a decent chance of making a game of it. If it is mid to late season, the Birds will roll. They are going to be very tough defensively and the O will more than hold its own.
