A game between these two schools and only 8 posts (with 2 being from silly old me). What has happened?

Threads with writing funny captions have more entries...

Do you ever have anything nice to say in an X thread? It amazes me for someone that loathes a program so much you sure pay a lot of attention.

X wins this one!

TD

Maybe I misunderstood him - and by no means would I attempt to 'speak for him" -- but I understand. I think he was lamenting the total lack of interest - from either side - in this game. At one time --IMHO - this game was HUGE ! Maybe it still is - but one would think more fans and supporters would be "jumping on it."

This is typical of football in KY right now. The six classes have weakened the system, Male is definitely down and X and T go out of state for tougher competition. Jefferson County football is a shell of what it was in the mid-90's. Male, Fern Creek, Fairdale, Manual, PRP and Ballard all provided top flight competition for the private schools.

No more players like Mike Bush, Chris Redman, Montrell Jones, Tony Driver, Sergio Spencer or Chris Barclay at Male recently. It wasn't that long ago that things began to change in Jefferson County.

Nice call TD! May he ought to turn in his alumni card.

Don't blame me for the lack of interest in this thread. Am I wrong that in years past this thread would be buzzing with excitement? And you all will be glad to know a few years ago I was called and informed my "alumni card" was revoked after someone close to me made a certain play to keep a certain "better" team from winning state. And I do say nice things about X... for example, they did a nice job of finishing in second place on Friday night. Finally, JS#85, thanks for watching my back. you can speak for me anytime.

We have lost 4 games, but were in every one, we return 3 total starters from last year, but we have played enough games where that doesn't hold any longer. We have improved and continue to practice very hard. I don't like to predict scores with my team, but it wouldn't surprise me if we play very well and win the game. X will play very hard and are very well coached.

Our JVs lost to X 16-12 but everyone there knows we were equal, we turned it over 3 times and that just killed us, only one where there was contact. X scored on a pitch out where the back fumbled and picked it up and ran it in, on the game film there was a hold by the end and was not called...part of the game, but my point is these teams were equal and the future looks very good. Frosh play on thursday. I'll give a report thursday nite. I'm not sure where the Dawgs fans on here are?

I'd love to see a win.

Nice Analysis. Thanks.
