Do not see how it can be at the frosh level since each are in the big school division. Seriously doubt that they will not play. As for varsity and JV that is no real surprise as they were not going to play them this year until someone backed out on them at the last minute. Before everyone gets on here to bash Dixie and/or Tom Spritzky for not playing, why not call out Boone County, Campbell County, Simon Kenton, Conner to name a few who have refused to play Highlands over the last several years. Therein lies part of the problem. To answer a previous poster, yes Highlands is going to have to start scheduling downstate or out of state opponents to complete its schedule for years to come.

 

If you remember HHS did play Boone last year and there freshman team just came to HHS and beat the SCIT. As for the other teams you mentioned why would HHS want to play them? It all boils down to Spritzky has more talent then any other team in NKY and once he removes him self as head coach they will start winning games.

Heard ESPN has created a spin off of their ABC partners show "Wife Swap". The new show is called Coach Swap. Rumor is that Merril Hoge submitted the Highland program thinking he would get a switch with college coach Jim Tressell. After all the problems at Ohio State, ESPN had to change things up and just use a local high school instead. Beginning December 5th Coach Mueller will be going to Dixie and Coach Spritzky will be going to Highlands. Should make for great TV.

Lets face it if Dale and company were there they would have a great shot at beating Trinity. They have a top 11 QB nice receivers and good backs. The line under the magic man would be so much better. The point was JOAT was wrong with his comments about not picking on his friend and start picking on the other schools.

Was not wrong at all. Simply stating facts. What purpose does it serve Dixie to play HHS? So that you and others can get on here and bash the program and Tom personally after another HHS win. Yes Tom is a friend and is personally attacked on here by many Bird faithful, just look at the frosh thread. Why no bashing of Thompson and/or Lickert since they are Highlands grads and do not play Highlands? Now you want to make an attack on me personally because I stand up for a friend by stating facts? Highlands fans need to realize that not every program in Northern Kentucky and/or the state of Kentucky has not, does not nor will they ever have the players and coaches that dedicate the time and energy to the football program that Highlands does. Each and every program is run as that school, coach and administration desires and they do not have to answer to you or anyone else for that matter.

All soup, now you've gone and done it. Are you telling us that Dixie has more talent than HHS. C'mon! Hey, I'm on your side, wait, you're on my side. Let's get that straight. And if there are anymore of these ridiculous comments about Dixie having more talent than HHS, then "The Don" just might uninvite you for the breakfast meeting. Whackem and Qryche, he's yours to do with what you want.

This was a very good decision by Dixie....sometimes you have to send the nagging wife packing.

 

That is hilarious............. But in all reality I would like to think Dale is more of the Archie Bunker type and he finally ran Michael "Meathead" Zimbinsky out of his house. LOL

Not sure you can properly analyze the Dixie decision to drop HHS until they schedule a replacement. If they schedule a qualilty opponent that will help them get better, I think it is a reasonable move given all of the circumstances. If they schedule a cupcake as a replacement, I don't think it helps them get any better.
