If kids are allowed to lead the prayer at the pole, then why cant they lead it for graduation

 

You seem to be unable to understand the difference between the location and how separate events lead to different answers.

 

Graduation is a school sanctioned/promoted event. "See You at the Pole" rallies are not endorsed or led by the school.

 

For the record I don't care if a student were to lead prayer as long as prayers from all faiths and denominations were offered.

I'm not here to argue with you, Bell County has the right to pray for the kids who are involved.

 

True Blue, Jesus did command how to pray. Pray with out ceasing, ask in my name, and I have more if you want.

 

It shocks me that people would fight prayer to keep kids from injury before they are involved in a violent activity.

 

This will never have a change in my heart on this matter, Pray is simply talking to God. We should all start the day with talking to him and end the night with our AMEN. If you go against praying for these kids then I'd think that you must be a non Believer. These posts I'm reading who want to argue are making it seem that way.

As to prayer I believe strongly in the practice of prayer as Paul (not Jesus) said "without ceasing in all things."

 

I can't believe you can't seem to see how silence is the ultimate answer that respects those who choose not to pray and enable those who want to pray. Just because you can't see it the way someone else does is not a necessary guarantee that they must be totally opposite your view.

 

I also don't care to get into a "label" debate (see bolded) except to say be careful for the judgement you use will be the judgement used on you. (That's a Jesus saying by the way)

True/Hatx. I'm sorry that I came off this way, I'm just fed up of reading posts on here for people who defend the rights of others who have no business trying to stop a public prayer. I'm frustrated with the way man has changed things in our schools, and I'll fight anyone on these rights, thats the way I believe. Why my responses have to be targeted anyway concerns me. I'm entitled. I also have an issue with someone using "Jesus didn't use football games in his commandment for prayer," thats a mockery of Jesus Christ. And has no place in this type of debate.

 

Hatz, use a cartoon. I'm not a bad person, but Jesus used Paul to speak for him since Jesus didn't do it him self. 2nd Timothy 3:16. No where am I judging someone but I am using righeous judgement which we are told to do.

 

True/Hatz, poll your folks who are Christian and let us know how they feel. I've asked many people who have agreed with me and some who didn't care to some who think its the law. Again, I use scripture for my bases on here.

With the US being made up of about 80% Christians, I would say all but maybe one or two are! I for one am a Christian, personally I do not see a problem with it, but I do see the other side! ALL ALONG people have said the best solution is a moment of silence, and the fans can do what they want at the point, on their own.

It doesn't bother me when there is not a prayer before the game. It bothers me when a school wants to do it, and people have to run to the law when its done. I don't go to a game to pray or hear one.
