No one has said they can't say it if they'd like during the moment of silence. No one has said they're against them saying it. What's the issue? :idunno:

I've read all the posts in the thread. No one has said they shouldn't be allowed to pray during the moment of silence if they choose to do so. So once again, what's the issue?

Yep, I don't think one person has objected to a "moment of silence" and that's what we've been saying all along.

Again, in the article they want to say the Lord's Prayer, now tell me they didn't say that? You can't, wow I'm amazed.

I've read the whole thread and also the prior one. I think from reading it that everyone who has supported the moment of silence solution thinks it is fine for the fans, students and whoever wants to on their own to pray out loud. If they all simultaneously say The Lord's Prayer during the moment of silence, I think that would be acceptable to all those folks too. Doing that would not be illegal as long as it isn't organized or facilitated by the school or paid school personnel.

 

Of course, it would also have to be OK for any Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. to also say a prayer to their God out loud during the moment of silence.

 

Just my observations.

Not sure what you mean, by thinking Watusi nailed his comments or that I'm gonna start a new thread on Jesus who died on the cross after doing about two weeks of research? And yet again I missed nothing. But thanks for your comment, it might be a start in you reading my thread on Jesus loving us and teaching us to do the same to each other.

I think Larry misunderstood what everyone else's stance was. If I may be presumtuous, I think Larry was thinking those who supported the moment of silence were supporting just that, "silence only". He thought they were against folks praying out loud during that time and he was taking his own stance against that.

 

He missed the point that those who support the moment of silence actually support letting people be expressive during that time and say their own prayers out loud or otherwise.

 

When he finally realized that he realized he had been fighting back for nothing and in post 79 he says so.
