Last time I checked this thread wasn't "about the teachings of Jesus". It's about a public school who was doing something against the constitution and how the school thankfully saw the right solution. Even though 50% of BGPers in the thread(s) are still looking for the bus stop to take them there.

I'm not sure what their justification is, though you may be on to something. I really haven't been able to find much on it. If that is the stance they take, I would have to point out early educational textbooks (such as The New England Primer) in our country & how they were overtly Judeo-Christian in content & instruction.

I'm not sure what you're debating about here Larry. No one is saying they can't pray during the moment of silence. No one is saying the moment of silence is a bad thing. What am I missing?

Most President elects attend a worship service that empowers them spiritually (Usually on the Sunday before the Inaugauration).

To be honest I don't, except to say that the numbers of people I've seen not just on this thread but in communities all over that seem to get very worked up over this are far more than the numbers I see working at said community ministries I mentioned.

If you or others choose to pray the Model Prayer of Jesus, that's fine with me. Just not over the loud speaker.
