I have it on DVR and can not wait to get to watch it.

I liked the Buckner tie in. It's too bad that ESPN wasn't what is now back in 1986. I sat in awe when they showed the clip of Bob Stanley throwing Buckner under the bus for missing the grounder when Stanley's wild pitch tied the game. If that happened today it would be all over Sportscenter, PTI, Around the Horn, First Take and Baseball Tonight and we'd have to listen to Hall of Famers on the phone talking about how they would have whipped Bob Stanley back in their day and Skip Bayless would be blaming Buckner(probably comparing him to LeBron) and standing up for Stanley and I am sure Jason Whitlock would write about how Buckner was never a good first baseman anyways. I can hear it now.....

I thought it was pretty interesting, to be sure. I can definitely appreciate how the ESPN feature writer was torn in how he had to gumshoe Bartman.

 

I do have one question for all of you:

 

Anyone ever had Brahma Light?

I really liked the technology they used to remove all of the crowd except Bartman and Alou and then eventually remove everything except the stadium, Alou, and the ball to show whether or not he would have likely caught it.

 

I'm a poor boy from Eastern Kentucky, that fancy stuff's new to me.

I've got this one on the DVR for sometime tonight or tomorrow. I did listen to Bill Simmons' podcast with the director and it was excellent. I'm really looking forward to this.

 

On a side note: I watched this game with a friend of mine who is a lifelong Cubs fan. He's normally one of the more calm and reserved people you'll ever meet. He was livid that night. That same guy was sitting next to me when the Minnesota Vikings lost the 1999 NFC Championship (I can't believe I made it all the way through typing that without breaking something). So in a strange coincidence, we've each been present for the other's worst moment of professional sports fandom.

Nope. I was impressed that they were able to work in product placement during the documentary. That screamed out product placement to me. It made me want another beer also.

It was pretty good, but far from one of the best in the 30/30 series. Unlike Roman Empire, I didn't care for the amount of attention given to Buckner. I can definitely see why you would allude to him, but about 20-30 minutes were devoted totally to him.

 

The most interesting aspect for me was when the senior ESPN writer tracks him down at his office's parking garage. That was a combination of creepy & fascinating.

I was particularly sickened by the dude (who was much, much bigger than Bartman...and had 40,000 people backing him) that walked down to Bartman to threaten him and "ask him to step outside". It took an immense amount of courage to go down to Bartman as he sat in a catatonic stare.

I just watched this and I thought it was very good. This program showed what we knew all along about Cubs fans, they are idiots. Their beloved losers blew it, end of story.

What this Bartman guy did is what anyone would have done and reach for the ball, everyone round him was doing the same thing and he was the one that touched the ball. What Bartman went through was disgusting and criminal. Death threats, throwing beer and several other objects at this man not to mention the crowd/lynch mob outside the stadium....reallly Cubs fans . Then in a large number of the Flubs faithfull in Chicago further showed what they and their city is made of......Losers.

I am a Wrigley Field fan, not a Cubs fan. That old stadium deserves better fans.

Chicago and Philadelphia have the worst fans in all sports.

Real tough guy wasn't he, . Also, whoever it was that yelled "put a 12ga. in his mouth and pull the trigger" should have been ponted out and arrested.
