Apple to unveil IPhone5 Tuesday, October 4th.

Featured Replies

Apple is working on some new software that will make the keyboard "redundant." I've read that it may be available for the IPhone 5 at some point.

I purchased more Apple stock today.

I hope the IPhone 5 plus a new PDA they're talking about bringing out jacks it up over $500.

I'm kind of worried about Amazon getting into the tablet market.

It'll probably go on sale on Oct. 15th. Usually a week or so after an announcement. Pre orders will be available that day or the day after usually.

Okay. I'm stupid. What is a "redundant" keyboard?

Will it be on Sprint then too?

Yes.

In this context they were essentially saying that it would be unnecessary to even use the key board. That the phone could essentially be completely hands free which makes sense given the new laws that many states have passed regarding the use of cell phones while driving. One of the examples that was given was that the technology some of which may be available of the Iphone 5 would almost act as a personal assistant. For example you could ask it questions like "How many shopping days are left until Christmas" without touching the phone and it would be able to give you a response almost instantly.

So how would you send text messages? Would it type what you speak into it?

Id say so but people will still have to read any text messages sent back to them Id assume. So we'll still have those people texting and driving.

Not to be a smart butt, but the last 2 cell phones I've had can do voice texting and dialing. Does this go a step further into the internet browsing?
