I think we all enjoy following a team the quality of Highlands. Its a shame they have to bring their fans. There is no hate for the kids, its the nasty were above you attitude of the fans. They rant and rave and hijack threads on here. Most of the highlands fans seem like spoiled brats on these sites. I think Dale is a great coach but being able to get every kid in Campbell Co. that has any interest in playing football doesnt hurt either.I am a casual poster on BGP and dont have any ties to any school. I follow Lex Cath because my kids graduated from there, but enjoy all good H.S. athletics. I wish you Highlands fan would act like you have been there before. I should correct that, I wish some of the Highlands posters on this site would act as if you had been there. Im sure most of the fans are great ones. You have gotten a terribly misguided view of true Highlands fans. You should not generalize, based on your opinion of a few people who like to express their (understandable) pride and like to have fun on BGP.

 

As for Highlands attracting players from other places, one must ask why and how, you think that came about? The answer: through the hard work, talent and dedication of many generations of coaches, parents and community members.

Funny how you find the need to post in a Highlands/Cov. Cath. thread about a game that happened this past weekend rather than post in a thread about your team that will be facing the biggest game of the their season thus far against Boyle this Friday.:idunno:

Wow, it's pretty hard to pick against a guy with all those state championships, but after seeing this staff almost pull the upset against Dale's best team ever, I really like our guys. And when CovCath fixes a couple of things from Saturday's game, I really like our chances.

 

I think highly of the Cov Cath coaches mostly on the offensive side of the ball. Hopefully there is a rematch which is very very likely. I disagree that this is Dale's best team ever, that would be with Jared Gino or maybe Collinsworth years. You may have meant that with a little sarcasm, but I very much look forward to the rematch. I have a feeling that there is going to be a little more defense next time around on both sides and that is why I think the game will play out much different, especially with the cold weather.
