I hate to see what CovCath and Highlands will do to Pendleton. Hopefully those games won't discourage any future Wildcats from playing.

Good to see Holmes breaking out the whooping stick tonight. They had their mettle tested in some early season games and it looks like it paid off.

Geography bites. What can you do. They need to encourage a lot of kids to either move from the district (and drop to 3A) or get a lot of kids to move into the district (and go up to 5A).

It will be interesting to see where Holmes winds up in the new district's finishing order. Are they the type of team that can play with CovCath?

This was over early as Holmes put up 38 in the first quarter. Good to see sophomore Jonathon Scruggs getting more touches on offense. Very few if any kids are as fast as this kid. I think he scored the first three touchdowns for Holmes tonight.

Holmes's offense is starting to play a little bit better since they put Coston in at quarterback. They will improve only as much as their offensive line does.

However, Pendleton is not very good but they play hard.

Can Holmes play with Cov. Cath?

Cov. Cath. Is clearly the better team, but Holmes has risen to the occasion when having to face teams that are better on paper. A lot would have to go their way.

I'm a huge Pendleton County sports fan, but am relatively new to their football team. They're simply not put in a position where they can even begin to compete in District play. Pendleton has never had anything close to a powerhouse, but this team has even less horses than the teams of past. I don't blame the coaches, and I don't blame the community for their struggles. That's way too easy. Pendleton County's athletes play basketball, and even those athletes are usually scarce. I understand that this district makes the most sense population-wise and geographically, but man. Tough situation for the kids.

Holmes will probably end up 3rd. Highlands will handle them easily like they do everyone. Cov Cath appears to be able to score and Holmes offense hasn't

generated enough offense to probably keep up. Holmes is a tough defensive squad that causes lots of turnovers. If Cov Cath plays a turnover free game they'll win

by 2-3 tD's if, not who knows. A Holmes victory is a possibility, but less than 25% IMO.

Are a lot of PC's athletes still going out for soccer instead of football?What happened to Coach Carver?, things were on the upside when he was there. Can they go back to being an independent and not compete in district play?
