It looks like all in-state games in the top 10 (I am assuming NC is North Carolina and not non-conference) are play-ups for 1A. It will be interesting to see the collective record of the 9, 1A teams after this weekend. Good barometer for the strength of the class outside of BW and MF.

After the 1st 4 which I think are correct, I still have a hard time putting any of the next 6 over the other. Alot of decent to average teams, but, none that'll come close to knocking off the Top 4..

Any insight on why Hazard is over LHC?

The "atleast 3rd" part of your statement I find interesting. As for why I have no say so I will let one of the selection committee guys make that call.

Hazard's opponent's are a combined 7-6 and the two KY opponents have an avg. Lit rating of 72.2. Their out of state opponent (Clintwood, Va.) has a 3-1 record.

 

Holy Cross' opponents are a combined 7-15 and their three KY opponents have an avg. Lit rating of 62.2. Their out of state opponents (Providence, Ind. and Franklin Road, Tenn.) have a combined record of 4-5.

Hazard is over ranked......Somerset spanked them and now Breathitt will give them another spanking this weekend and Breathitt is also over ranked!!

Certainly no huge problems or disagreements. I was somewhat questioning why Fairview is not ranked higher. The rankings must put more emphasis on strentgh of the out of district schedules than other ratings may do. At any rate, Fairview should be higher but their weak schedule may be the cause of their ranking.

You'll see who was over ranked at the end of the season.

Sure won't be Mayfield or Beechwood.......
