September 10, 201115 yr I think you guys are missing the point. Even though UK has still struggled in the SEC they have gotten better. To think about where they've come from to where they were when Joker took over it is not going in the right direction. I am all about giving Joker a chance but this isn't a program that needed to be rebuilt, it just needed to be taken to the next level. That level should be up and not down. I was responding to the initial post. It gives the impression that UK had risen from the ashes and was on a meteoric climb to greatness. My point is that, yes they improved somewhat, but pretty much leveled off way before they attained any great heights. I pretty much expected Joker to maintain status quo and beat the WKUs and Miami of Ohios, get to 6 wins and play in a minor bowl. I'm not getting the expectation that he was going to take them to a higher level.

I agree about the lack of buzz around the team. Also, I don't see (granted, from afar) much fire among the players.....this year or last. Are there many malcontents on the squad? September 10, 201115 yr ....................we are one week into the season. :idunno: :isurrender: :confused: If the sub par play continues today, next week against Louisville, and then they get hammered in SEC play, I'll start worrying. Last week could have been nerves, over looking opponent, or a mixture of other things. They were playing essentially on the road in Nashville, I look for them to play a lot better in Commonwealth Stadium.
September 10, 201115 yr I need UK football to be at least somewhat successful. I need to sell my parking spots at my house :lol: I had no trouble today, but I'm not so sure anyone is going to want to go to anymore games.
September 10, 201115 yr ^How much do you usually get for the spots? We do $15 dollars early, but towards game time when people are more desperate to get closer spots to get to the game we switch to $20. We're about a 7 minute walk to Commonwealth.

September 10, 201115 yr You know what it says about Joker? He can't coach... I'm afraid you're right. Barnhart didn't mess around when he canned Gillispie. I'm curious to see how patient he is with Joker. He gave Brooks a lot of time, but Brooks inherited a much worse team, and Joker was already in the system.
