MJAlltheWay24
6 years seems long to me, but wow. How much things have changed at QB for the Eagles in the last two years.
rockmom
Good for him. He's worked hard to return to significance. Maybe this will help him pay off all the debt he has.
rockmom
And who says crime doesn't pay..... He's served his sentence and continues to fulfill his obligations. Should the man be denied the opportunity to earn a living?
NEERFAN
6 years seems long to me, but wow. How much things have changed at QB for the Eagles in the last two years. They actually saved money this year since they don't have spend the franchise tag on him. I guess he's finally going to be able to get out of debt. cooperstown
He's served his sentence and continues to fulfill his obligations. Should the man be denied the opportunity to earn a living? I agree. Never was a big Vick fan and still am not, but the man has done everything right since his conviction. Including playing some pretty impressive football . . . bugatti
He's served his sentence and continues to fulfill his obligations. Should the man be denied the opportunity to earn a living?:thumb: Vick has paid his debt to society, lost millions of dollars, and undergone intense scrutiny sense his release. He deserves whatever he can get due to his talents and he has made the most of it. With that said, I am an Eagles fan and I still remain ambivalent with this deal and his skill set. He went on an unbelievable roll for the first half of last year. What many people keep dismissing is that his production greatly regressed the longer season went. A lot of pressure is being heaped upon him and I feel it is pressure largely thrown upon him for production not-ultimately shown, imo.

Just like most NFL contracts I have a feeling he won't see all 6 years of this deal. He is 31 and this will take him till he is 37. I just don't see his style of QB playing last that long but we shall see.

I would say that buys 3 solid years before they would have to cut bait or at least reevaluate his ability to be a pocket passer. While 31, his 2 year hiatus (really 3 if you count his first season back) should buy a little extra time. But Vick is also a smaller guy that takes punishment. formerkywrestler
He's served his sentence and continues to fulfill his obligations. Should the man be denied the opportunity to earn a living?I begrudgingly agree, though there is a part of me which still hopes a dog takes away his ability to throw another pass. And my stance on his "potential" dog ownership will NEVER waver. There are actions you do in life which may deny you specific privileges forever.
