Shouldn't the GM and manager be on the same page, especially when one hired the other?

That guy won't be around next year, he's an idiot. It's hard to believe that they didn't give Sandberg a shot and forced him to leave the organization for Quade.
No one forced Sandberg to leave ... he left on his own.
What's wrong with Renteria? If he's not hurt he has hit nearly .300 since the All-Star break and has batted in the 2 hole a lot more than Janish has. If he is hurt then what's wrong with Cairo in the 2 hole?

I'd rather see Janish give up his AB than Cairo or Renteria, especially if they're going well. Heck, if you have a guy hitting .200 and can bunt, put him in the 2 hole all day.

Now there's something sensible. I'd have him bunt every trip.

Only problem is that your leadoff guy can't get on either.

I'd teach him how to push bunt and make them make plays. He can't consistently his a beachball with a Fred Flintstone whiffleball bat.

So, Reds geniuses, how do we all feel about Frazier?

Since the sarcasm is pretty thick, I'll assume this is directed toward me.

I like how hard he plays but I think we need more than 20 games to know if he can hit at this level. I think he's good defensively. Still needs a little work on bunt coverages.

Nope, it was a serious questions. I lace nearly every post with sarcasm, however, if anything I'm direct. You must agree.

And I also really like Frazier to this point. He's been a pleasant surprise, perhaps the best surprise IMO of the season. I like the kid.

I agree. Huge upside. Still not sold that he can hit at this level (only 20 games, I know) and the only problem I've seen with him defensively is a couple of bunt coverages in the same game. They were mental mistakes, physically he can pick it.

Well, I think it would be wise for the Reds to see if Frazier can go the rest of the way at the hot corner and prove whether or not he can hit. He very well could provide the answer over there considering the ailing Rolen may have played his last considering he's nearly my age.

I want to see a 3-2 drag bunt from Janish.
Janish in drag.
