Maybe, just maybe Obama's civility speech was meant for Joe Wilson(called Obama a liar during healthcare speech), Pat Buchanan(called Obama 'your boy' when talking to Al Sharpton), Nick Antosca(called Obama 'boy), Marilyn Davenport(Obama chimpanzee email) and David Lamborn(referenced Obama to a tar baby).

 

Say what you want about Bush being disrespected in office. The level of disrespect and the racial connotations in that disrespect towards Obama is troubling. Especially from a bunch of men and women who should know better.

Which makes him a liar also. Biden is one of the worst excuses for a VP that I can remember. He's up there with Quayle and Agnew.

To be fair, the right has re-branded the term "liberal" to equate "terrorist," so they're not technically taking the high road. They just changed the definition of another word to mean the same thing.

Yes. It's also funny it was being discussed that Biden called people terrorists before a discussion began about all of the outward racism against Obama from Buchanan, Antosca, Davenport and Lamborn was brought up. I'd rather be called a terrorist than be called any of the many racial epithets you can choose from. It is one thing to disagree with Obama's policies, ideals, performance and beliefs but these are incidents of out and out racism. Biden was wrong to label those folks terrorists but these other incidents about Obama seem to show that repubs don't respect the man because of his race. If they say these things in public I can only imagine what they say amongst one another privately. We have seen one email about he and his family that slipped out. I am sure there are others.
