Interesting that District 4 and 5 are not represented.

District 4 will be an evenly matched district but none deserving of Top 10 in pre-season. North Bullitt beat the other 3 teams last year but lost the majority of a very good line. In district 5, I could see South Oldham getting up in the mix.

Anderson County No. 4.....Really?

No question about it, actually I don't see much difference between 4-10 to be honest. For what it's worth, Anderson County beat John Hardin 46 of 48 minutes in last years Region Final game and Anderson returns most of their skill kids, including their QB who might be the best player in the state that nobody knows about (FYI, I hate hearing and using that phrase, but it's true with this kid).

5A east is wide open, and it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Anderson County representing that semi state in Bowling Green.

Boy, 5A really opened wide with the departure of Highlands.

I hear the QB from Anderson County transferred to Franklin County. Will probably walk right in at the starting position. This could very possibly put Franklin County in the top 10. Very young team returning from last year.

Not just 4-10, but probably more like 4-12 or 13 are pretty close...

Carmichael?? I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Just talked with someone in Anderson County yesterday - I'm looking for announcers in Lawrenceburg for Pegasus Sports - and they suggested his dad, but then retracted the suggestion, thinking that having a player's dad in the booth might not be such a good idea!!! So unless this is very new news...I think Carmichael is still in AC...

Good call.

Wow ... if Highlands and Covington Catholic were in 5A, this would be post #112, at least, instead of #12.

Perhaps all of the schools that accept tuition paying students should be in their own "elite" class. Like Dale said, they have an advantage.

What about Conner or Cooper in northern Kentucky? Do either of them potentially have a team capable of making noise in a wide-open eastern half of the bracket?

My bad....it was Woodside that made the move. Was he a running back/linebacker and backup QB?
