August 16, 201115 yr I was there and the player introductions was one of the most memorable/moving sporting moments I have ever witnessed live. Rondo used the word "breathtaking" to describe it and I would have to agree 100%.

August 16, 201115 yr Can you elaborate more on what was some memorable about it? MJ, the crowd was just electric. Rember there were no season ticket holders in the lower arena so it was loud. The players seemed to be "moved" by the reception they receive. Prince in particular seemed stunned by the ovation they were receiving. It was just one of those moments I will never forget. My son looked at me and said "I've got chills". Pretty much summed it up.

The whole thing chillled me to the core but when Prince was waiting to be introduced you could just see it in his face that he was getting ready to lose it, so much emotion. Thats what got me.

August 16, 201115 yr Another thing that I will carry with me from last night is the chorus of boooo's rained down on Horford, Garcia, and Sosa. I mean it was loud, some of the loudest booos I have ever heard at Rupp. I normally go to 1-3 games a year and you don't get to hear booo's like that too often. Crowd was just sooooo amped and animated before the game. In response to the boo's Horford obliged with a gator chomp.

It really was, and with the way he played in the game its still apparent to me that Horford is going to ball in Rupp Arena no matter if its 06' or 2011. You should have heard the boo's though, really. So loud it was almost deafening, I felt like all 23,000+ was booing, thats how loud it was. I've never heard boo's like that in my life. Him, Garcia and Sosa got it though. They all three responded by having monster games too. :lol:
August 17, 201115 yr Also a lot of other UK alums in the house: I saw Erik Daniels, Ravi Moss, Brandon Knight, Josh Harrelson, Kenny Walker, Sam Bowie, my buddy said he saw Jules. Also I believe World Wide Wes was in the house.
August 17, 201115 yr Anyone know if there's a youtube video of the player intros? KSTV showed the intros on tonight's show if you have Insight check out the On Demand. They said Tayshaun wore #32 for Desmond Allison. I'm sure the lack of Blue Hairs along with the sale of brew made this a whole different atmosphere.
