I'd like to hear from X fans, is it time for a coaching change?

ATTENTION TRINITY FANS ,

WE ...........NOT THEY ...........JUST WON OUR 16TH STATE CHAMPIONSHIP !

COACH BEATTY IS THE TRINITY COACH, HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE SUBJECT OF ATTACK BY THE x people. Any program suffers through adversity and it is easy to blame a coach. I for one , was not pleased with the way the defense performed in the last 2 x games. I have to think that the staff wasn't very pleased also. BUT, I saw the immense improvement and the nuts and bolts come together this year that I didn't see last year. I could have took a year for the scheme to sink in, I don't know. The bottom line is that the job was accomplished and there is nothing but joy in the Trinity family now and it didn't take a victory on Friday to create that. Our kids grew and got better and better and that is the main thing. I don't think that Beatty and Co. (along with Bean) should ever be questioned again. Of course , the x - men will continue to say all kinds of crap to try to 'impress' 8th graders to come to x. If their parents are smart, they will keep their kids away from sour grapes.

Proud to say again , Trinity forever. (and 16 is so sweet !)

Nice try buddy, but with all the reports of planned celebrations and ring designs and championship Tee shirts being swept out of PJCS late Friday night. I have to ask, who do you think you're kidding. I would guess that you don't even know Coach Beatty so your comparisons to Coach Glaser are baseless.

This one really had to hurt. Sorry but it looks like all the reports of some pendulum activity were greatly overstated. I also have been around long enough to remember all the X-men comments about how freshman and JV games were for learning purposes only at X so the results really didn't matter. Of course this was when you were being swept. Now you expect us to believe the "let the Rocks have the title, we'll take the sweep" attitude.

First of all, I've never been your buddy, so please do not refer to me as such, and secondly, I guess you are entitled to live on in a fantasy world. Sure we are hurt by the glitch that occurred Friday, but it was not the end all for us as obviously it would have been for you. We have accepted the momentary pause in the PENDULUM, congratulated a worthy Trinity team on their victory, and restarted the pendulum momentum in the Tiger direction.

Let's see. Four titles and one runner-up in six years under Beatty vs one title and two runner-up finishes for the ex-men in the same period. In head to head competition it is 5-3 Trinity. Yeah, I can see why you think things are running your way.

Sorry buddy, but what happened to all your snappy, witty comebacks? They do tend to dry up at times like this don't they? A fantasy world is where a team that is billed as maybe the best squad in the history of a great team led by the best back to play in Jefferson County in fifty years lays and absolute egg in the big game and you say that everything is grand. This absolute juggernaut, tempered by sweeping through the toughest schedule ever, then laying waste to WC in the semi-finals amassed an amazing 6 points against the weak, little, playing both way, overmatched Shamrock Defense. You should also know by way of my pre-game PM to you that this game was not the "end all" for me. I think everyone including your coach placed the monkey squarely on the Tigers backs. I guess he just can't handle the pressure, but I'm sure he is a heck of a guy loved by one and all.

This thread is a JOKE! X and Trinity have two of the best coaches in the state as well as two great staffs.

If you really want to  you should go back and read some of the comments on an old thread about "who will be the next coach at Trinity?" from back in the beginning of the season. Some pretty funny comments (including yours TD). :sssh:

Which old thread? Please post.

I agree. :thumb:

Now this is funny. Karl Rove? James Carville? Come on Ox.

Let's all play nice.... I have been very proud of my fellow alums posts after this game. I do agree that it had to hurt the X community which makes their positive posts even more impressive. We both have lots to be proud of and thankful for. If the other schools get their way we'll be doing this a lot more so we better get used to it.

This is crazy, a coach gets you one game away from a perfect season and after the first loss people are ready to turn on him. X fans are way to spoiled and maybe they should realize what a great season they had.

You need to realize that this thread was initiated by a Trinity supporter, definitely not St. X. No one at Tigertown is turning on Coach Glaser. This thread is just a bitter retart from a minority of the pebble fans who were suffering from being out of the limelight. For the majority of those involved with both teams, both victory and defeat were accepted with class.

This season has to go down as one of the most disappointing in the history of Tiger football. Several potenial college caliber athletes, a back that was offered as a sophomore and a QB that had never tasted defeat. Dream senario no doubt. Mix in the feeling by most X faithful that situation over in St. Matthews was chaos and it just couldn't get any better for the Tiger clan. Too bad they had to actually play the pesky game. So now the Tigers must face the fact that Bob Beatty can best Mike with All Americans and without. I would think that the Tiger faithful are uneasy at this time. So Tigers I ask you, is it time for a change?

This post is a joke!

I've highlighted the most valid and only pertinate part of your statement. :D

I don't understand why the X fans are crying because the X kids didn't get it done on the field. They had the talent and the coaching they just didn't get it done.

Isn't it great! You guys like your guy. We like our guy. I guess the trade talks are off. Coach Glaser has had a grest record at Poplar Level High. I think he should stay as long as he wants, but the last place I'd expect the ex-men to take a poll is at Trinity. See you in September.
