Perhaps his association with folks that were known United States terrorists...perhaps his "sweetheart deals" for real estate purchases with known and indicted criminals. I don't know things like that.

None of that is as dumb as believing that gay marriage will persuade people to try out being gay. That's one of the dumbest things any politician has ever said.

Sorry for jumping in here, but let me add my two cents. I agree with PP92's intent here. The manner in which Hannity treats people (or did...I have not watched his show extensively) is just as bad, if not worse, than asking someone if they are a flake.

Well. I'm no Hannity fan, that's for sure, I think I've made that quite clear. But I'll tell you this, some of the people that are excusing Wallace in this thread would be all over Hannity if he did it, especially if it was a Democrat candidate.

Wallace didn't berate Bachmann or interrupt her, which is Hannity's usual interview style. He asked her a question and let her answer it.

I'm sorry, but while I CAN admit that this particular statement shows a great amount of ignorance, I CANNOT understand why others were not upset with the Presidents defending the preacher, and his relationship with Ayres. Can't understand when people get upset about people misspeaking (both parties), but not about their associations. Your friends reveal your true character, not ill conceived words. Obama is a poor leader, and will be a one term President. Whether the "flake" Bachmann ousts him or not, I do not know. But she has already done much better than many posters on here would have thought.

Funny. I thought plenty of people were upset with his relationship with his former pastor and with Ayres. They talked about it every day in 2008 on Fox News. It just wasn't enough to defeat him. Had he said something stupid....like gay marriage will make people want to try being gay....then I bet he wouldn't be the president. Lucky for him even if he believes that about gay marriage he wasn't dumb enough to say it to the media so he too could be treated like a flake.

Obama has been on record (short though it was) as being opposed to EVERY military action proposed by his predecessor. So to say it is asinine is a joke.

 

I would like to hear your thoughts on the positives this President has brought us. You know this golden light of hope and change...

I have no problem with the question at all. I think he gave her an opportunity to address a major issue.
