God Bless SV, hope He provides comfort to you and your wife. Like RTS said, there's a reason for all things, yet we don't always need to know them. Trust!

Praying for your family. I really hate to hear that.

I'll continue to offer my prayers for your family, SV. You'll need them now more than ever.

Sorry to hear this news. As stated before, things happen for a reason. Prayers and angels are with you all.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss! God must have been so pleased with His creation, that he lifted up your little angel unto himself. Sometimes, no matter how ardently we pray, the ansewer we receive is "no" or "not now." We just have to remain confident that God will bless you all the more for bearing this sorrow. Perhaps the passage below will bring some comfort:

My soul is deprived of peace,

I have forgotten what happiness is;

I tell myself my future is lost,

all that I hoped for from the Lord.

But I will call this to mind,

as my reason to have hope:

The favors of the Lord are not exhausted,

his mercies are not spent;

They are renewed each morning,

so great is his faithfulness.

My portion is the Lord, says my soul;

therefore I will hope in him.

[Lamentations 3:17-18, 21-24]

Compassionate God, soothe the hearts of our friend and his dear wife,

and grant that through the prayers of Mary, who grieved by the Cross of her Son,

you may enlighten their faith, give hope to their hearts, and peace to their lives.

Lord, grant mercy to all the members of this family and comfort them with the hope

that one day we will all live with you, with your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit,

for ever and ever.

Amen.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and compassion, we greatly appreciate it.

For years when someone had a miscarriage I simply said to that person that "you will have another" or "Too bad". It didn't seem that big a deal because the child wasn't born. All that changed when my wife and I went through our first one. (Watch Marley and Me for an exact replay of it) It was an emotional sucker punch. I just couldn't believe it. I told my wife we would succeed at this if she wanted to do it and the next time we were a success. But I know the blues you have right now. In fact, my wife and I had two more miscarriages which was not what we were told the odds were. 3 miscarriages and one birth was the reverse of the rule. But we persisted and I would not trade the child I have for anything. I am sorry for your loss but remember the Balboa quote which I tell my son now: Nothing hits as hard as life...but it is not how hard you hit but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward." You will have well meaning people say insensitive things in the near future. Nothing you cannot handle. You have handled the worst already. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone, others have been there and that I have thought about this off and on all day wondering how it would come out.

Unfortunately we did not receive good news today. Her HCG level dropped thus confirming that we have lost the baby. We want to thank everyone for their prayers during this time.
So sorry to hear this Sv. Prayers will continue for the both of you. God will comfort you, lean on him.

Absolutely great post atticus. Right here is just one reason why that you are one of bgp's very best.

I didn't mean to take away from this very real and serious thread. Quite the opposite. This is great, heart felt avice and words of encouragement.

We will be praying for you.

Thanks Old Rambler. I meant every word. I don't want to hijack the thread but I so glad to hear from you.

May God bless you!

I just saw this and I am so sorry. Please know you and your wife are in my prayers.
