If he is currently a senior how can he be playing U17?

If he is an unsigned senior, he can still play U17

Well then what is the point of me bringing my son's birth certificate and report card to prove he is in 11th grade? Seems kind of stupid.

Taylor can not play in this tournament.

Seniors can not play only seniors to be.

Thank you for the clarification. I was beginning to become really confused.

I guess the $15.00 for The aau card keeps these events regulated?

Yeah, that is correct, forgot it was AAU sanctioned event.

In NCAA Certified events, unsigned seniors can play in the U17 division.

In another thread, it said Higher Level had a senior to be team and an unsigned senior team. Obviously, it's their senior to be team that is entered in this weekend's AAU event.

Some NCAA certified events do not allow unsigned seniors either. KY Hoopfest is one that does not.

Not anymore, last year was the first year of a new AAU rule.

I heard the Kentucky Select team has a 17 year old playing with them and that is why they are playing 17U instead of 15U. The team to beat in the 15U sounds like Louisville Magic. Quentin Snider, D'Angelo Russell, Kalen Martin, Craig Owens, Jordan Green, Trey Grundy, and Christian Cunningham will be playing with them. Kentucky Elite will also be a tough team to beat in 15U. They have Shane Hall, Justin Johnson, Jordan Fox, Justin Edwards, Wesley Noble, Ryan Dishman, Trent Gilbert, Dylan Portwood, Clayton Ray, and Austin Sebastian. Louisville Magic and Ky Elite play in pool play. Those two teams could meet again in the finals.

I'll be down on Saturday for a few hours...

If I get to go Saturday, hopefully we can talk some b-ball....:D

Any special players you will be watching???

I'll be there all three days regardless of how Kentucky Takeover 17U does.
