Your exactly right. This is the KEY for Russell to come away with the win.

It is a lot different when you are playing a running team vs a passing team. If Catholic can execute it's offense like it has all year it will be more like a track meet for him. Trigg's QB also played Defense and the guy could hardly walk by the end of the game. He was a VERY good athlete.

I'd agree with this statement. I'm sure that Coach McGlone will let him sit and hoist the trophy in post game pictures! Seriously though you are right the game could be decided with a fresher offense going against a very tired defense!

He's used to it he's has played every play the past 2 weeks. Amongst about 8 other Devils that play every play including kick-off coverage and return!! Fatigue could be an issue but most of these kids have done this all year and been sucessful doing so. At times I think it has helped them gain momentum, and created a little bit of mental toughness!

If Woody went down our passing game would be in trouble. No one else has much experience. We have a Freshman thats 6'2 with good arm strength, which I assume is the future QB for Catholic. If that were to happen I would guess Russell would get a heavy dose of Ijames and Kamuf.

If Woody went down with an injury I think you might see Winklepleck take some snaps at qb. I just hope this doesn't happen. Woody is very ellusive and he slides instead of taking big hits.

I'm really looking forward to this game especially with regard to how we can "keep up" with a platooning team such as O Cath. If there is a fatigue factor which develops, I can see Coach Morris making the appropriate substitutions. Obviously, the kids that play on both sides of the ball are our better athletes, however, there are also kids in uniform on the sidelines of every game that can contribute to the effort as well. This one's going to be fun to watch. I hope my Devils win!!!

 

One of the ways will be on offense. Russell can sub with all those running backs that are just chomping at the bit. Those 4 extra time outs will help with the fatigue factor if needed. With 10 total time outs Russell should be just fine.

OCath runs the no huddle the entire game. I can't remember OCath huddling up at all in the past three or four years.

One thing that me Aces Fan talk about a lot during the games are how some of these coaches run their qb's to death. The qb has to run to the sideline to get the playcall and then run back to the team to relay the message. This is added on to running the normal play and sometimes even playing both sides of the ball. It's hard to do that the whole season.

I know the kicker is #13 Jared Johnson for them.

Johnson is the kicker. I have seen him hit from 40 yds in warmups. But with our offense we don't kick too much. We may have attempted 1 or 2 all year. He is also one of our top two wr's.
