It wasn't that it was an uptempo game...it was more that Boone's big men were scoring at will and Holmes was too quick for them at the other end.

 

Boone also shot exceptionally well from outside.

I like Boone's chances if Coach learns how to sub in players. Playing the same 5 players for 32 minutes will get you beat. They have a great back up for Downs in Pitts. And Fookes can come off the bench and get you boards. If he coaches how he did against Ryle they lose by ten. If he learns how to coach Boone wins this game like they did the previous match-up.

 

Agreed there will need to be more bench play in the region if Boone wants to advance. Boone has the inside advantage by far but Holmes has speed. The bigger floor will be an adjustment more so for Boone.

Holmes was able to get up and down the court with Aiken and give them fits...I could definitely see Boone struggling against Holmes' pressure.

My guess is Boone slows it down big time. I think it's funny when people look at regular season matchups leading into the regional. It doesn't hurt Boone at all to play man and play a little faster in the regular season. I think it will be slower if Boone has any say in the pace.

I agree 100% with this. Honestly it doen't matter who beat whom in the regular season, tournament time is like a new season and anyone can beat anyone on any given night.

Not at all. Like I said "If he coaches how he did against Ryle they lose by ten. If he learns how to coach Boone wins this game like they did the previous match-up." He used his bench in that game, which kept fresh legs on the floor and kept them able to run with Holmes.

Holmes will try to speed this game up and make Boone play to their tempo...I can almost guarantee that.

I agree. Who dictates tempo is the key of the game to me.
