I thought somebody posted in another thread that said Beechwood wouldn't have many kids playing both ways.

It will likely be the same as last year. There was no player last year I recall that played every down on offense and defense. There were 2 or 3 that played on offense and defense in every game but sat out plays on both sides of the ball. In the big games, a few more guys played more downs going both ways. But yes, there is a lot of depth and with Beechwood's conditioning, no one is going to be playing tired in Q4.

Staten- Linebacker - Fullback

Nussbaum Linebacker - Running back (with some rest with Vocke and Erdman running the ball too)

Vocke - Corner - tailback

Woodford County Guy (maybe)

Bradley (maybe)

Everrt (maybe)

 

So, out of 22 positions, I see 3 to 6 guys going both ways with lots of rest. Sounds good for a A team to me.

Cruse will likely get some reps at end on both sides of the ball.

 

Staten ... Beechwood's offense hasn't used the fullback much the last couple of years so his offensive reps will likely be minimal.

 

Bradley ... I don't see him getting reps on offense.

I think that we both know otherwise!

 

I also think that Dale hasn't forgotten the fact that he took over play calling duties in the freshman championship game when these classes met ... and feels that he could do a better job overall. And it has probably been in the back of his mind somewhere since then.

 

I think one thing that all of us know ... is that Dale does not shy away from revenge opportunities ...

 

I wish things could have worked out ... but they didn't. I am sure Dale feels the same way.

Well, they kicked their butts as freshman. We all know that! The funny thing is, that you all are the ones that can't get over it. Yes, I said it. Could I have been wrong? One never knows. Could I have said it to just make fools out of you Highlands fans to watch your feathers get ruffled. One never knows. That's the beauty of BGP, one never knows what another is thinking or trying to do when they type. I actually get a charge out of the Highlands fans arrogance.

 

I won't back down from believing that Beechwood will be very good this year. I mean, no one is ever as good as Highlands and should NEVER be put in the same conversation as them. How dare I?
