Fun game to watch. Both teams had great spurts. Big second half for Hatton who took over the game. Nice win for the Red Colonels.

How can you not enjoy watching Hatton play. Smooth, smooth ballplayer.

Strong effort by both teams. Tight game until the very end.

For a Freshman, he is unbelievable!

It was a mistake to take Jake Thelen out of the game with 2:29 left down 4 or 5 just because of fouls. Did Marty think Chev wouldn't realize it and run out clock? If he fouls out he fouls out.

Drew Baker sat waaaay too much tonight. He had a great game all around and was a matchup problem offensively. Stroke was strong and he was blocking/altering shots.

High school boys don't think. No news there. Therefore, the coach has to tell them who to get the ball to and what shots NOT to take. Didn't happen.

Way too many subs tonight. The constant subbing led to periods of no offensive flow. Dixie showed that you can win with a short bench. Sealteam is going to tell me it's because of lack of development during the year. I disagree. This team can win with a short bench. Hudepohl has to get minutes like he has in the last two minutes because of his defensive prowess. Brett R can get some minutes at the 2 and earn more if he's hot. If there's foul trouble on the bigs then Arnzen can get minutes. Fredrick showed he's a legit threat from the outside if you need another shooter. That's it for me.

With that I think the Colonels showed tonight that they should still be mentioned in the wide open 9th.

I love Jake Thelen's game and his constant busting of his big rump(I say that affectionately) but I'd have to seriously consider voting for Hatton as POY. Who has a more complete game?

Hatton or Geisler..

Quite amazing player. Congrats to Dixie on taking care of their Highway! After watching Hatton the other night, he gets my vote but I doubt that a frosh will get the award.

how many did Hatton finish with?

Gutsy win for the Red Colonels tonight with several players battling the flu and questionable for tonight's game.

Coach Chev pulled the right lever going to the 2-3 and 3-2 zones in the fourth....allowed Dixie to control the boards off the missed shots.

Still too many turnovers for Dixie.....they need to take care of the ball better heading into post season.

CovCath shot well from the perimeter the first 3 quarters...not sure how many 3's they had but it had to be one of their higher outputs from behind the arc this year.

The Heights was packed.....great atmosphere for a night of b-ball.

I'm guessing mid 20's....

when is the last time Dixie beat CovCath twice in basketball in the same year?

As was Alex Connelly.

I was thinking the same thing.
