The Brotherhood is the oldest, best organized, best funded Islamic political group.. Watch for them to try to take the lead in Egypt... Actually the group is illegal in in Egypt... They say they are a peaceful group but their actions have proved otherwise...

The Muslim Brotherhood has been trying to seize power in Egypt since the 1980's. I don't think any good could come if they get involved in the power structure of Egypt and the Middle East. If Zubarak gets booted, the world can only pray that the Brotherhood doesn't get to take power.

Obama's Muslim Brotherhood

Endorsement Causes Concern

Israel National News

For the first time, a US government supports granting a government role to an extremist Islamic organization: the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

On Monday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Egypt's new government will have to include a "whole host of important non-secular actors." Most prominent among these is clearly the Muslim Brotherhood – which has made Islamic world domination one of its ultimate goals. It also opposes Egypt's 30-year-old peace treaty with Israel.

Anyone wonder what took the Egyptian Army so long to act when the protest started? The head of the Egyptian Military was in DC meeting with US counterparts. Do you think these protest happening when the military leaders were out of the country was a coinsidence.....this trip had been scheduled for weeks. Did this give the MB the opening to spur on the unrest in this country that they needed?

U.S. President Barack Obama met with members of Egypt's Islamist opposition movement, the Muslim Brotherhood, earlier this year, according to a report in Thursday editions of the Egyptian daily newspaper Almasry Alyoum.

The newspaper reported that Obama met the group's members, who reside in the U.S. and Europe, in Washington two months ago.

According to the report, the members requested that news of the meeting not be publicized. They expressed to Obama their support for democracy and the war on terror.

The newspaper also reported that the members communicated to Obama their position that the Muslim Brotherhood would abide by all agreements Egypt has signed with foreign countries.

Obama landed in Cairo on Thursday to deliver a conciliatory speech as part of his outreach to the Arab and Muslim world.

The Muslim Brotherhood is considered a Sunni-dominated fundamentalist Islamic organization that has spawned numerous factions across the Arab world that have engaged in terrorist activity, including the Palestinian rejectionist group Hamas.

Obama Overtures to Muslim Brotherhood Recall Carter's Craven Outreach to Ayatollah Khomeini

History repeats itself.

In a further sign that the Obama administration is preparing to abandon and betray Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, it develops that the U.S. President recently met in Washington with members of the Muslim Brotherhood. Click here for the story.

Obama's overture to the Muslim Brotherhood, which murdered Mubarak's predecessor, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, spawned Al Qaeda and Hamas, and now pretends to be non-violent, recalls the Carter administration's craven cooperation with the Ayatollah Khomeini before the overthrow of Iran's modernizing, pro-American monarch, Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi.

The Obama administration is engaging--code for appeasing--and seeking to align the United States with the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran's Islamist regime and Islamist proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah--still formally designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations by the U.S. State Department.

Islamism is no longer a threat, according to the administration; and the party line is being embraced with enthusiasm by Islamist sympathizers in the liberal media. CNN is practically an outpost of Obama/Islamist disinformation and propaganda, as shown by the active measures of the cable TV network's chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpur, who supports security guarantees for Tehran's turbaned tyrants even though her family was forced to flee Iran after the overthrow of the Shah.

In fact, the administration sees Islamism as the wave of the future; hence, its overture to the Muslim Brotherhood and the President's address to "the Muslim world." Secular regimes and leaders are seen as dinosaurs and dangerous liabilities.

The only Islamist organization.......

In a nutshell, Obama is supporting a Muslim group that is clearly against the US and Israel. They are not labeled a terror group by the US, but do support and fund terror groups like Hamas. It will be a big mistake to support them, just read the 25 points as listed above in a previous post. I am shocked more are not aware of this. I guess it goes to show how blind some can become when listening to false words.

Maybe it's just me but the sources I pulled off the internet talked about this as a Sunni group which is much less violent and when more extremist/violent factions emerged they left the Brotherhood and formed splinter groups that often denounce the Muslim Brotherhood.

Although originally the Brotherhood was organized into paramilitary cells, today it forswears violence in political struggle. This has made it a target of Al Qaeda’s venom.

It almost sounds to me like the Muslim Brotherhood is a more conventional alternative in the eyes of some than the more radical extreme groups like the one in Iran.

One of the things often forgotten is that Egypt is not a traditional democracy and their repressions for decades have led to this unrest every bit as much as some devious revolutionary groups.

Awesome read, mind opening if anything and the 25 point plan is what is going on in the world today. Scary to me but Im sure some may dismiss it but not all stuff should be dismissed IMO. Some things are true, even if a few select choose to not believe.

http://sixthcolumn.blogspot.com/2006/05/25-point-project-for-100-year-plan-of.html

Pretty much all of the rationalizations for how "good" the Muslim Brotherhood has become is explained by their own Plan.

2. Avoiding open alliances with known terrorist organizations and individuals to maintain the appearance of "moderation";

4.using deception to mask the intended goals of Islamist actions, as long as it doesn't conflict with shari'a law;

5. Avoiding social conflicts with Westerners locally, nationally or globally, that might damage the long-term ability to expand the Islamist powerbase in the West, including the support of full-time administrators and workers;

12. Involving ideologically committed Muslims in democratically-elected institutions on all levels in the West, including government, NGOs, private organizations and labor unions;

15. Avoiding conflict within the Islamist movements on all levels, including the development of processes for conflict resolution;
